The American Healthy Alternatives Association (AHAA) is a national 501(c)(6) trade association representing the hemp-derived and healthy-alternatives industry: the farmers, manufacturers, retailers, scientists, and consumers who depend on lawful, regulated hemp products. Consumer Access is your standing in that fight.
Why your $10 matters right now
Section 781 of P.L. 119-37 takes effect December 11, 2026. It redefines legal hemp and caps every finished product at 0.4 mg of total THC per container, a standard nearly every full-spectrum product sold since 2018 cannot meet. Products don't become safer that day. They become illegal.
AHAA is fighting for a different outcome: passage of the Lawful Hemp Protection Act (H.R. 9830), real regulation with real standards instead of a ban written as a number. Regulate it. Don't eliminate it.
What does my $10 a month fund?
- Federal advocacy: supporting AHAA's work with lawmakers on hemp policy before the deadline
- The national campaign: the petition, the Action Center, and grassroots organizing that puts constituents in front of Congress
- Coalition building: state chapters and industry partners standing together for responsible regulation: mandatory testing, honest labels, child-safe packaging, and an American-grown supply chain
Is this a membership or a contribution?
This is a monthly supporter contribution. It funds the fight. That's the promise, and the whole promise. You'll get a receipt for every charge, and you can cancel anytime.
Frequently asked questions
What is AHAA?
The American Healthy Alternatives Association is a national 501(c)(6) trade association for the hemp-derived and healthy-alternatives industry, funded by member dues and supporter contributions and accountable to a member-elected board.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
No. Contributions to AHAA, a 501(c)(6) trade association, are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.
What are the hemp restrictions taking effect in 2026?
Section 781 of P.L. 119-37 redefines federal hemp law effective December 11, 2026, capping finished products at 0.4 mg of total THC per container, a threshold that would remove most hemp-derived products from the legal market.
Didn't the deadline move?
Yes. Congress delayed most of Section 781's restrictions from November 12 to December 11, 2026 (H.R. 6500, signed September 2, 2026). One exception: cannabinoids the cannabis plant cannot naturally produce lost federal hemp status on November 12, 2026. State laws may impose earlier or stricter rules.

Every contribution counts
The clock is real: Section 781 of P.L. 119-37 takes effect December 11, 2026, and with it a 0.4 mg total-THC-per-container cap that most legal hemp products cannot meet. Your one-time contribution funds the work happening now: advocacy for the Lawful Hemp Protection Act (H.R. 9830), the national petition campaign, and the coalition of state chapters and businesses asking Congress to regulate, not eliminate.
Where does the money go?
Contributions fund AHAA's advocacy programs: engagement with lawmakers, the Action Center that routes constituent messages to Congress, and organizing across state chapters. AHAA is funded by member dues and contributions, and is accountable to a member-elected board.
